String Things was founded in 2014 in Johannesburg by Lindzi Moore and Frances Levenderis. The business expanded to include Pretoria and surrounds in 2015, and in 2018, the decision was made to expand the team, adding Leandra Levenderis and Tamlyn Harker as partners, in anticipation of growing into Cape Town in 2019. We provide talented musicians for any occasion, but particularly weddings. We are able to provide any genre of music, and any specific music you require to make your day perfect.

Our team consists of a primary administrator, as well as various area managers, gig managers, and rehearsal managers. This management team ensures that effective communication is achieved and all your musical requirements are met. Our team of musicians includes about thirty to forty student, amateur, and professional musicians residing in Johannesburg, Pretoria and Cape Town. We currently provide violins, violas, cellos, pianos or keyboards, saxophones, guitarists, singers (classical and jazz), flautists, and a harpist (Cape Town only). Our most popular combinations are: string quartets, string trios, violin or cello duos, and solo saxophone.

As we know that organizing a wedding can be time-consuming, we are willing to do most organization electronically via emails, cell phone calls, Zoom or other video calls, and all documents necessary can be completed online, or signed, scanned and emailed back to us. Your assigned manager is also willing to meet with you in person or to attend rehearsal ceremonies or dinners at no extra cost.
